The Masons Arms at
Meysey Hampton
is under new ownership
NEARBY
Situated at the southeast edge of the Cotswolds, Meysey Hampton sits seven miles east of Cirencester. Once the largest Roman town outside London, Cirencester thrives in history and its geographical location led it to being an important wool-trading town long after the Romans had left. With its picturesque Market Place, dominated by the parish church, take time to explore its range of shops and cafés down the many winding lanes.
We are surrounded by other picture-postcard Cotswolds villages, including famous Bibury (pictured), Barnsley, Eastleach and the throng of cottages and manor houses nestled in the Coln Valley. Arrive at Burford, another impeccably characterful town, and you start again with the Windrush Valley and all its hidden gems. We suggest you take a local map in your car, or out on your bike, and discover the Cotswolds at your own speed.
